How to Encrypt and Decrypt SD Card

SD Card Encryption
Encrypting SD card is a good way if you don’t want people other than you have access to your SD card and check the files. In regard to SD card encryption, there are some facts that you need to know about:
1.Even use a same key on different device, it doesn’t give you access to the SD card.
2.Encrypted SD cards can only be red on the device used to encrypt them. And once you lose the original device where you encrypt SD card, all files would be gone.
3.If your device is reset to factory default settings, it will be unable to read encrypted SD cards.
4.During the encryption process, the SD card cannot be used.
5.Before you start, make sure that the battery is charged and keep the device plugged in until encryption is complete.

1.Go to File Manager on your phone and select Settings> System Folders. Then find mmcstore file and send it to your computer by Bluetooth. Use Notepad to open this file, and the password of encrypted SD card is located here.
2.Run FExplorer and open C:\system. Find the mmcstore file and rename it as mmcstore.txt. Then copy it to your computer and open it with Notepad. Check the password in the file.
Or you can try RePicvid Free Photo Recovery to restore photo/video/audio from encrypted SD card. If you are going to give up the data, just format the encrypted SD card with Diskpart.
